At FGS, our Secondary School curriculum for Grades 9–10 provides rigorous and focused preparation for Matriculation and Cambridge O Level examinations. The programme develops the subject knowledge, examination skills, discipline, confidence, and independent learning habits students need to achieve strong academic outcomes.The Secondary years are a crucial stage during which students consolidate their subject knowledge, deepen their understanding, and refine the study habits required for examination success.Students are also supported in making informed decisions about the next stage of their education.Our curriculum combines:

This balanced approach prepares students to perform confidently in their examinations and progress successfully to A Levels, Intermediate, or other higher secondary pathways.
Students develop advanced reading, writing, speaking and listening skills through literature, comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, essay writing, formal writing, creative expression, presentations and discussion. Emphasis is placed on accuracy, fluency, analysis and confident communication.
Students strengthen their command of Urdu through prose, poetry, grammar, comprehension, composition, translation, vocabulary and cultural texts. The programme supports fluency, expression, appreciation of literature and connection with national language and identity.
Students build strong foundations in number, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, mensuration, statistics, probability and problem-solving. The curriculum develops logical reasoning, accuracy, analytical thinking and the ability to apply mathematical concepts in examination and real-life contexts.
Students explore matter, motion, forces, energy, electricity, magnetism, waves and scientific measurement. Practical work and enquiry help students understand scientific concepts, analyse data and apply physics to the world around them.
Students study elements, compounds, mixtures, atomic structure, chemical reactions, acids and bases, metals, environmental chemistry and laboratory skills. The subject develops scientific thinking, observation, experimentation and evidence-based reasoning.
Students learn about cells, living organisms, human biology, plant systems, ecology, reproduction, health and the environment. The curriculum encourages observation, investigation, scientific explanation and awareness of life processes.
Students develop an understanding of the history, geography, culture, citizenship, governance, economy and development of Pakistan. The subject promotes national awareness, civic responsibility and the ability to understand Pakistan’s place in the wider world.
Students deepen their understanding of Islamic beliefs, teachings, Seerah, Islamic history, ethics, worship and moral responsibility. The programme encourages respect, integrity, compassion, discipline and the application of values in daily life.
Students develop skills in computing, digital tools, data handling, safe and responsible technology use, problem-solving, programming concepts and computational thinking. The curriculum prepares students to use technology confidently and ethically.
Where offered, students explore visual communication, drawing, painting, design, craft, composition, colour, pattern and creative presentation. The subject develops observation, creativity, originality and aesthetic appreciation.
Students develop fitness, coordination, teamwork, discipline, resilience and healthy lifestyle habits through sports, exercise, games and health-related learning.
Students are supported in developing confidence, responsibility, leadership, teamwork, communication, emotional awareness, decision-making and respect for others. This helps prepare them for adolescence, examinations and future academic choices.
