In 1979, Mrs. Razia Yousaf Saigol began with one belief, that every child in Faisalabad deserved a world‑class education. Starting with just 30 pupils and a small team, she built what would become the most trusted name in education in the city.
Though she is no longer with us, her vision lives on in every classroom, every teacher, and every child who walks through our doors.

A Legacy Built on Vision,
Excellence & Trust
In 1979, FGS opened its doors with 30 pupils, 3 members of staff, and one clear purpose: to give Faisalabad's children a world‑class education. Within three years, the British Council had awarded FGS its Cambridge International Examinations number, a recognition it holds with pride to this day.
Mr. Azam Saigol carried the institution forward with the same dedication his mother had instilled, growing FGS in both size and reputation across Faisalabad.
Today, under its third generation of family leadership, FGS stands as Faisalabad's most trusted educational institution with an even greater future ahead.

The FGS Foundation
At FGS, we have always believed that exceptional talent deserves recognition. Each year, the FGS Foundation awards a number of scholarships to students who demonstrate outstanding academic or sporting ability.
These awards are limited, competitive, and by nomination only.
Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of campus leadership.

Council of Advisors
International Education Consultant
Dr John Siraj-Blatchford is an internationally recognised early childhood education researcher and consultant, with particular expertise in Education for Sustainable Development, sustainable citizenship and play-based pedagogy.
He is currently President of TACTYC and a Visiting Professor at National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan. He previously worked with the University of Cambridge Faculty of Education, served as an Associate Director of the ESRC Teaching and Learning Research Programme, and contributed to UNESCO's work on early childhood education and sustainable development.
John also provides leadership for the OMEP UK Early Childhood Education for Sustainable Citizenship Award Scheme and is actively involved in promoting effective learning through play.
He brings extensive international expertise in early learning, sustainability, educational equity and global citizenship to the FGS Council of Advisors.
GEMS Education Network — Dubai
Zahra Malik is a senior education leader based in Dubai, specialising in teaching and learning, curriculum development and teacher professional growth. She currently holds a leadership role within the GEMS Education network, where she contributes to whole school teaching and learning strategy and initiatives designed to strengthen classroom practice and student outcomes.
With over a decade of leadership experience, Zahra began her career in inner-city schools in London, where she developed a strong foundation in instructional leadership, curriculum implementation and improving outcomes in diverse educational settings.
Her work has focused particularly on strengthening pedagogy through evidence informed practice, professional learning and coaching. She brings extensive experience of school improvement, teacher development and high quality teaching and learning to the FGS Council of Advisors.
International Education Consultant
Kamal Yusaf Butt is an experienced educator and school leader with over 25 years of international teaching experience across the UK, Asia and the Middle East, spanning Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Adult phases across both private and public sectors.
His career includes classroom teaching, Headteacher and Cluster Manager roles in the UK and Middle East, giving him a comprehensive understanding of education systems and school improvement across diverse cultural, regulatory and sector contexts.
Kamal holds a Master's in Education (M.Ed) and the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH). As a Cluster Manager, he has advised Principals, Vice Principals and teachers across multiple schools, supporting strategic planning, curriculum development, staff development, accreditation and quality assurance at scale.
With particular expertise in curriculum design, assessment and teacher training, Kamal supports rigorous, meaningful learning and the professional growth of educators across multiple school systems and phases.
He currently serves on an advisory board of the British University in Dubai and brings this depth of cross-phase, international expertise to the FGS Council of Advisors, supporting the institution's continued growth and improvement.
